Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains the conditions for withdrawal of subscription and refunds for purchases made on the RiceCake service (operated by Moncoco, business registration number 108-34-07302). It is based on the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.

1. Scope

This policy applies to Service Credit purchases and to lesson bookings paid for on RiceCake.

2. Refund of Unused Service Credits

Unused Service Credits may be refunded within 7 days of purchase. The refund is returned to the original card or payment method used at checkout. Depending on the card issuer, the funds may take 3 to 7 business days to appear on your statement.

3. Credits Already Used

Credits that have already been spent (for example on lesson bookings or premium visibility listings) are not refundable because the corresponding service has been provided. If only part of a purchased balance has been used, only the unused portion is eligible for refund and the used portion will be deducted before refunding.

4. Lesson Booking Cancellations

Cancellation of a lesson booking between a Student and a Teacher follows the cancellation rules shown at the time of booking. The Company acts as a mail-order intermediary and supports refund processing between the parties. The specific refund percentage is displayed on the booking page.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund please email [email protected] with your account email, the transaction ID, and the reason for the refund. We will respond within 3 business days.

6. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved by the Company, the refund is forwarded to the payment service provider within 3 business days. Card refunds may take up to 7 additional business days depending on the card issuer.

7. Precedence of Applicable Law

For any matter not covered by this policy, or any conflict between this policy and applicable law, the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and other applicable laws will apply.
